Job Summary

Produce reporting and dashboards for government-funded apprenticeship and professional education activities, benchmarking performance against industry statistics. Build visuals from one primary data source (and historic data when needed) and interpret complex government funding documentation to ensure reports align with funding rules. Use Aptem (learner MIS), Thrive (LXP), Excel (including advanced functions and VBA), OData feeds, Power BI, and APIs to deliver accurate, decision-ready insights for stakeholders.

Job Function: Data Analytics & Business Intelligence

Key Responsibilities

•Run reports and create visual dashboards using Aptem (learner MIS), Thrive (LXP), and OData feeds.
•Maintain student and DLS data in line with policies and procedures.
•Use intermediate to advanced Excel functions, formulas, and VBA to interrogate and present data.
•Leverage OData feeds, Power BI, APIs, and other integrations to support reporting and analysis.
•Research and interpret complex government funding documentation to inform reporting aligned with funding rules.

Travel: Low travel

Key Requirements

•Strong experience working in government funded education (apprenticeship) environments.
•Knowledge of Skills Funding Agency or current Department for Education (DfE) funding regulations.
•Strong Excel experience, including advanced functionalities.
•Ability to read and understand complex government documentation and draw appropriate conclusions for reporting.
•Experience with OData/APIs and building reports and dashboards for stakeholders.
