Job Summary

Assembly and Test Inspector in RTX’s MRO Commercial Engine Center (Onsite, 1st shift) will perform dimensional and visual inspections of engine components, use power/hand tools, and verify parts against engineering drawings and procedures. You’ll work from written inspection procedures, document results, and determine material acceptance or non-conformance in a collaborative, aerospace manufacturing setting.

Key Responsibilities

•Use a wide variety of power and mechanical tools to perform functional checks on engine assembly and components
•Perform Dimensional and Visual inspections following standardized methods and established techniques
•Work from applicable written inspection procedures and engineering drawings
•Accepting or referring material for rework or quality review based on findings
•Use a variety of fixed and variable measuring instruments including automated measuring machines

Key Requirements

•High school graduate or GED
•2 years formal training in power-plant mechanics and testing
•Experience working from complicated drawings, specifications, procedures, and instructions to fabricate, configure, install, remove/replace and set up power systems and components
•Experience working with Solumina, SFWF, or similar programs
•Ability to obtain and maintain certifications to operate powered industrial vehicles
