Job Summary

Provide on-site supervision for Logging-While-Drilling (LWD) operations, including tool preparation, data acquisition, log generation, and quality control. Serve as the lead engineer on most jobs, ensuring accurate, timely customer data and identifying/correcting operational problems. Plan and consult on mud hydraulics, Bottom Hole Assembly (BHA), formation evaluation, drilling tendencies, and BHA dynamics. Complete required reports and prepare daily LWD reporting, while supporting training and performance improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

•Serve as the lead engineer on most jobs and ensure customer data is accurate, timely, and meets service quality standards.
•Provide technical consultation covering mud hydraulics, Bottom Hole Assembly (BHA) planning, formation evaluation, drilling tendencies, mud system, and BHA dynamics.

Key Requirements

•Complete a high school diploma (or equivalent) and have at least four years of field experience in LWD.
•Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline is preferred.
•Be proficient with communication, arithmetic, and data entry/recording skills.
•Be proficient in the use of LWD software and able to provide advice and analysis to the client representative at the well site.
•Read and interpret formation well logs and directional survey information and have relevant on and offshore safety certificates.
