Job Summary

Inspect, diagnose, and repair vehicles to meet CarMax quality and safety standards. Work with a skilled team to solve technical challenges quickly while gaining hands-on experience across domestic and foreign vehicles, including engines, brakes, steering, and suspension. Maintain a clean, orderly work area and follow CarMax Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) requirements. You’ll also support customer satisfaction and trust through reliable, well-executed repairs.

Key Responsibilities

•Inspect and diagnose vehicles to meet CarMax quality and safety standards.
•Repair and recondition vehicles, including engines, brakes, steering, and suspension systems.
•Collaborate with a skilled team to solve technical challenges quickly and effectively.
•Gain hands-on experience across domestic and foreign vehicles.
•Follow CarMax Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) requirements and maintain a clean, orderly work area.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 29.9 hourly

Key Requirements

•Experience in engine repair, steering and suspension, brakes, and HVAC systems, based on the needs of the role.
•Strong understanding of health and safety compliance.
•Ability to lift heavy objects and work on your feet for extended periods.
•Skilled at managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting with excellent communication and attention to detail.
•Valid driver’s license, and where required by State/Local law, maintain ASE Certifications (A1, A2, A3, A4, A5, A6, A7, A8).
