Job Summary

Senior Structural Technician in the Energy sector responsible for leading the production of Revit models and CAD drawings, overseeing drafting across design stages, and collaborating with engineers and external stakeholders to deliver multidisciplinary outcomes. You will supervise 3D BIM development, use BIM technologies on cloud platforms, and manage drafting tasks to support concept through construction phases.

Key Responsibilities

•Produce and supervise coordinated 3D BIM models using Revit; preparing engineering models & drawings from sketches and design information
•Work closely with key external stakeholders, clients and colleagues from all parts of the WSP business to achieve multidisciplinary delivery outcomes
•Use BIM technologies both in cloud and managed systems to prepare concise engineering drawings for key stages such as conception, planning, tender, building warrant and construction
•Fulfil Project Technician role – manage the drafting aspects of projects of varying complexity and size, actively driving the collaboration.

Key Requirements

•Gained a HNC/HND (or equivalent) in Civil or Structural Engineering
•Experience in Energy Structures as a Technician
•Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
•Experience in the principles of ISO 19650, BIM templates, BEPs, and use of collaborative information management software
•Experience in working with digital platforms, particularly BIM360 and its collaborative modules
