Key Responsibilities

  • •Design, build, and maintain full-stack software that supports CBP operations and survives production realities.
  • •Work with cloud engineers, automation specialists, and security staff to integrate cleanly with pipelines and environments.
  • •Build security into development by catching vulnerability classes during your own review and preventing sensitive data from leaking.
  • •Create and maintain a codebase other developers can extend without reverse engineering your intent, supported by tests and tracked technical debt.
  • •Produce documentation and evidence for federal security/compliance review as part of normal development and explain changes to non-developers.

Key Requirements

  • •U.S. citizenship required.
  • •Hold an active CBP Background Investigation (CBP BI) and/or EOD (strongly preferred), or be able to begin processing for a CBP BI.
  • •Design, build, and maintain software across the stack and pass code review without repeated rounds of issues.
  • •Write code that must pass a security review and be able to explain and fix findings from your own changes.
  • •Contribute within a CI/CD pipeline and integrate new software with legacy systems you cannot replace.
