Key Responsibilities

  • •Maintain and service ammonia refrigeration systems and related plant utilities, including boilers, air compressors, HVAC, pumps, motors, and valves.
  • •Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) on compressors, boilers, air compressors, valves, and related equipment.
  • •Document daily repair activities and maintain required paperwork associated with the PSM program.
  • •Communicate with maintenance management and coworkers to share production-related information via face-to-face, written, or electronic/telephone methods.
  • •Follow PPE requirements and all safety guidelines; maintain a neat and orderly work area and support weekend/extra shift coverage.

Key Requirements

  • •Experience maintaining and repairing ammonia refrigeration systems and related utilities.
  • •Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
  • •Ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical schematics and blueprints for plant ammonia systems.
  • •Experience with screw and reciprocating compressors, Cornell recirculation pumps, HVAC units, boilers, air compressors, and associated control systems.
  • •Willingness to acquire Hazmat Responder Certification and be active on the Hazmat Response Team (including HAZWOPER training and certification).
