Key Responsibilities

  • •Reads, interprets, and understands distribution maps and records for locations of underground facilities.
  • •Operates, cleans, and reports repairs for mark-out equipment.
  • •Accurately locates and marks out underground facilities related to distribution operations as required.
  • •Makes sketches of existing facilities not recorded or incorrectly recorded on distribution records.
  • •Directs the work of one or more helpers and assists other distribution employees in proper use of mark-out equipment.

Salary: USD 43.2 - 50.63

Key Requirements

  • •Two (2) or more years of experience in the Distribution Department with training and experience locating gas facilities or equivalent knowledge of distribution systems.
  • •Ability to read, write and speak English effectively.
  • •Able to make simple arithmetic calculations accurately; trained to read mechanical drawings and keep records.
  • •Mechanical aptitude plus reasonable strength and agility.
  • •Must have a Connecticut driver's license and experience driving motor vehicles; able to work independently with minimal supervision.
