Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop secure, well-tested, performant backend features and improvements using Ruby and GraphQL.
  • •Deliver solutions through complex requirements and legacy constraints while protecting the reliability of repository management systems.
  • •Contribute to backend services, APIs, data models, and business logic for repository management.
  • •Collaborate across functions and teams, using AI agents for well-scoped work and reviewing their outputs for quality.
  • •Strengthen reliability by monitoring production health, participating in Tier 2 on-call, troubleshooting incidents, and improving observability and resiliency.

Key Requirements

  • •Professional experience building backend web applications/services or APIs using Ruby and GraphQL (or ability to learn them).
  • •Strong understanding of relational databases, SQL, data modeling, caching, background processing, and backend performance practices.
  • •Experience contributing to policy/permissions/rules-based features in web applications, making complexity reliable and maintainable.
  • •Experience writing backend unit and integration tests and familiarity with Git-based collaborative code review processes.
  • •Experience using AI coding tools/agents and ability to review outputs; strong written and spoken English communication in a remote, asynchronous environment.
