Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead technical support for overhead line design on complex multi-discipline projects.
  • •Write proposals covering timeline, resources, budget, objectives, and goals.
  • •Provide technical input during project implementation, statutory planning, and public consultation activities.
  • •Undertake assigned OHL design activities including modelling, routing, structural analysis, sag-tension calculations, clearance reports, and conductor/insulator selection.
  • •Perform feasibility studies and engineering deliverable checks; mentor and share knowledge within the wider team and support business development activities.

Key Requirements

  • •CEng Chartered Engineer with a recognized electrical engineering institution (e.g., IET).
  • •Bachelor’s degree in engineering or an equivalent technical discipline in electrical or power engineering.
  • •Experience delivering transmission system operator projects (e.g., National Grid, SSE, SPT) aligned to operator standards; CDAE accreditation is advantageous.
  • •Overhead line engineering project experience (ideally up to 400kV).
  • •Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
