Key Responsibilities

  • •Recognize safety hazards and follow safety guidelines for self, fellow workers, and the public.
  • •Read and interpret instruction manuals, blueprints, and control system drawings to complete daily tasks.
  • •Repair, test, troubleshoot, inspect, and install/remove/maintain electrical equipment and related auxiliary systems in the power plant.
  • •Diagnose electrical equipment troubles and perform repairs or recommend major repairs.
  • •Work with other crafts/contractors and provide support and training to apprentice electricians when needed.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or GED.
  • •Five years (including apprenticeship) or more of industrial electrical maintenance experience related to power plant equipment maintenance, including inspection, testing, troubleshooting, and diagnostics.
  • •Valid drivers’ license required.
  • •Knowledge of power plant electrical systems, including safe switching to clear circuits for equipment maintenance.
  • •Ability to use tools and test equipment (e.g., voltmeters, meggers, amp meters, high-potential test equipment) and perform skilled electromechanical electrical repairs.
