Key Responsibilities

  • •Report to the Technical Services Superintendent and deliver best-practice mining engineering services and support operations.
  • •Develop and implement short-term planning mining strategies and mine plans incorporating truck and excavator design.
  • •Use coal mining process experience and mine design software to create achievable, efficient mine plans.
  • •Engage with the planning and production teams to communicate mine plans and schedules.
  • •Support operational optimization and continuous improvement through effective planning and execution.

Key Requirements

  • •Tertiary qualified Mining Engineer with at least 2 years post-graduate experience gained in an open cut environment.
  • •Short term design, planning and/or scheduling experience within an open cut operation.
  • •Truck and excavator dig, dump and infrastructure design experience.
  • •Experience with daily, weekly and monthly reporting routines and compliance to plan monitoring.
  • •Exposure to DESWIK highly desirable; proficiency in SPRY, Vulcan, Minescape, MINEX or similar mine planning software highly regarded.
