Provide pre-sales engineering support to help account teams sell and deliver complex enterprise broadcast and AV solutions. Transform customer needs into actionable system designs and detailed documentation, including BOMs, diagrams, infrastructure plans, and scopes of work. Serve as a technical leader and “design authority,” mentoring engineers, identifying risks and site constraints, coordinating with vendors/contractors, and supporting implementations with weekly updates and travel as needed.

Key Responsibilities

•Transform customer needs into actionable enterprise broadcast/AV system designs and detailed documentation (including BOMs, conceptual block diagrams, infrastructure plans, and scopes of work).
•Work with account teams and sales to support proposal efforts by addressing customer challenges, risks, and estimating labor and materials.
•Determine infrastructure requirements (power, data, conduit) during pre-sales and coordinate with general contractors.
•Coordinate with vendors, architects, consultants, and contractors to align designs to project constraints; review and validate work from junior engineers.
•Support project teams during implementation as the “design authority,” provide weekly updates, and participate in meetings across time zones with travel as needed.

Salary: USD 100,000 - 125,000 annually

Key Requirements

•Design and configure broadcast and AV systems end-to-end, from acquisition through transmission.
•Strong knowledge of IP networking including AVoIP, TCP/IP, multicast, VLANs, and Quality of Service (QoS).
•Experience with broadcast/IP standards such as SMPTE 2110 and AES67 (including AVoIP standards like IPMX/DNI).
•Proficiency with tools such as CAD (e.g., AutoCAD, Bluebeam Revu) and understanding of infrastructure needs (power, data, conduit).
•Mentor junior/mid-level engineers and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, including for complex risk and site condition planning.
