Job Summary

Design and implement AWS-based data pipeline architectures for customer AWS Data Platform initiatives, working with business analysts and solution architects to define use cases, data needs, and outcomes. Build and optimize data models using Redshift, DynamoDB, RDS, and S3, and engineer operations for large-scale production data lakes. Participate in client design workshops with recommendations and tradeoffs, and mentor engineers while delivering proofs of concept and cloud migration work.

Key Responsibilities

•Create and maintain AWS data pipeline architectures by designing and implementing data ingestion solutions using AWS native services or data management technologies like Talend and Informatica.
•Design and optimize AWS cloud data models using Redshift, DynamoDB, RDS, and S3.
•Design data lake operations architecture and conduct performance engineering for large-scale production environments.
•Support client design workshops by providing recommendations, tradeoffs, and guidance to build solutions.
•Mentor other engineers in coding best practices and problem solving.

Key Requirements

•5+ years of experience in AWS (cloud native environment preferred) across major public clouds (GCP, AWS, Azure).
•Experience and knowledge of Big Data architectures, including cloud and on-prem environments.
•Hands-on AWS infrastructure and networking experience, plus AWS collection services such as Kinesis, Kafka, and Database Migration Service.
•Proficiency with AWS storage and compute services including S3, RDS, Redshift, DynamoDB; and EC2, Lambda, ECS, EKS.
•Programming and tooling experience with Java, Scala, Python, shell scripting, plus Apache Spark/Databricks and SQL knowledge.
