Job Summary

Oversee offshore construction drilling activities, including drilling and under-reaming pile sockets for structures such as jackets, trestle piles, breasting dolphins, mooring and anchor piles. Manage the operation, repair, and maintenance of drilling units (Wirth pile top units and Bowen) and ensure mechanical failures are promptly escalated and followed up. Maintain rock bits availability, monitor drilling tools and parts with stores, and keep the NPCC Drilling Manual updated with current inventory information.

Key Responsibilities

•Report to the Drilling Forman or Barge Superintendent and carry out drilling and under-reaming pile sockets for offshore operations.
•Operate drilling units (Wirth pile top units and Bowen) and handle repair and maintenance, escalating mechanical failures to the PMV/concerned department with follow-up.
•Maintain rock bits to ensure availability, repairing as required and keeping them in good condition.
•Report malfunctions or mechanical failures of drilling tools to the plant office and ensure tools are fully tested and operational at all times.
•Check drilling-related parts with main stores, advise on stock levels to NOD/Plant, and update the NPCC Drilling Manual with latest information and inventory list.

Key Requirements

•Secondary level school education.
•Minimum 8-10 years of experience in construction drilling.
•Skills in operating and maintaining drilling equipment.
•Good communication skills.
