Job Summary

Lead and govern strategic and growth programmes within Boeing’s UK Fixed Wing Business Unit, supporting the Fixed Wing Chief Engineer and driving programme execution through planning, reviews, governance, and integration. Provide technical leadership across engineering and supplier coordination, chair engineering reviews on requirements/design/safety, manage scope against budgets, and contribute to business cases and proposal oversight. This role supports agile engineering environments with hybrid working and regular travel.

Key Responsibilities

•Support the UK Fixed Wing Chief Engineer in defining and governing Fixed Wing Engineering strategy and deputise when required.
•Own engineering programmes tied to strategic and growth objectives, including business case creation, planning, policy/procedure implementation, and operational goal setting.
•Provide technical leadership and coordination for engineering and integration activities, including resource allocation and chairing engineering reviews (requirements, design, safety, readiness).
•Ensure products and services are delivered under delegation, driving engineering functional excellence across people, processes, tools and practices while improving productivity.
•Manage technical scope against budget and provide governance/oversight for proposal development and supplier technical management, while maintaining customer and stakeholder relationships.

Travel: Medium travel

Key Requirements

•Degree in aerospace or safety critical engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.
•Extensive experience managing or leading teams in multi-disciplined matrix organisations (ideally with a global working aspect).
•Extensive experience working in a highly regulated safety critical engineering environment.
•Broad knowledge of Type and Continuing Airworthiness and UK military aircraft certification, design changes and modifications.
•Demonstrated capability to develop and influence stakeholders using business cases and to deliver programmes to quality, budget and schedule.
