Partner with sales executives as a Pre-Sales Solutions Architect to help customers design and build reliable, scalable systems using MongoDB’s data platform. Lead technical discovery, demos, proof of value, presentations, and architecture guidance across cloud and on-prem environments. Drive account success through opportunity qualification, account planning, and demand generation, while building strong customer relationships and mentoring Solutions Consulting teammates.

Key Responsibilities

•Design and architect scalable, performant applications, systems, and infrastructure for large software projects leveraging MongoDB.
•Advise customers on architecture patterns and optimization strategies for MongoDB while communicating business value to stakeholders.
•Collaborate with sales on account success through account planning, opportunity prioritization/qualification, and pipeline generation strategy, owning technical aspects like discovery, demos, proof of value, presentations, sizing, and documentation.
•Proactively generate demand in the sales territory through technical initiatives, trade shows, and account-based marketing events.
•Build customer champions and drive customer success and satisfaction, while continuously improving MongoDB solutions and mentoring Solutions Consulting team members.

Key Requirements

•8 to 11 years of related experience in a customer-facing role, including 5 to 7 years in pre-sales with enterprise software.
•3+ years of experience with modern scripting languages (Python, Node.js, SQL) and/or programming languages (C/C++, Java, C#) in a professional capacity.
•Experience designing scalable, highly available distributed systems in the cloud and on-prem.
•Ability to review complex application architectures with customers and provide guidance to improve using technology.
•Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
