Key Responsibilities

  • •Own data migrations end-to-end by configuring schema mappings and ingestion settings, running validations and dry-runs, and ensuring accurate data lands in GovWell.
  • •Act as a gatekeeper for data quality by identifying gaps, inconsistencies, and edge cases before they reach production.
  • •Lead customer onboarding calls, explaining data requirements and tradeoffs to non-technical government staff.
  • •Improve migration processes using internal tools, templates, and playbooks to reduce time-to-launch and manual work.
  • •Close the feedback loop by documenting recurring issues, unmet assumptions, and tooling gaps to help evolve Product and Engineering.

Key Requirements

  • •2-4 years of hands-on experience in data migrations, ETL/ELT, technical implementations, or related work with messy production data.
  • •Strong SQL proficiency used in analysis, validation, reconciliation, and transformation.
  • •Ability to work day-to-day in a Python codebase (reading, debugging, and shipping changes via PRs), ideally in a data/pipeline repo.
  • •Experience translating ambiguous stakeholder requirements into concrete, testable migration/implementation plans.
  • •High ownership and attention to correctness in execution-heavy environments where mistakes impact customer trust.
