Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop mechanical and electro-mechanical designs and production drawings across product lines, supporting projects as allocated.
  • •Support the full product lifecycle including development of system requirements, concept design, and issue of production standard drawings.
  • •Provide support to production concessions and in-service issues where applicable.
  • •Perform stress, performance, and tolerancing calculations to support designs and optimize concepts using Design for Six Sigma and Design for Manufacture tools.
  • •Manage design compliance (e.g., EWIS/EMC and design/configuration control processes), provide supplier technical support, and report progress in design/project meetings.

Key Requirements

  • •Good engineering degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, or equivalent experience.
  • •Minimum of 5 years in an engineering design and development organization, ideally with aerospace experience.
  • •Experience in electro-mechanical assembly enclosure design, loom/wiring harness design, and generation of PCB Assembly drawings.
  • •Competent using 3D CAD (e.g., CREO, Catia, Solidworks) to model sub-systems, equipment, and looms/wiring harnesses in large, complex models.
  • •Experience with EWIS and consideration of EMC, along with knowledge of IPC manufacturing standards and CE/UKCA marking requirements.
