Key Responsibilities

  • •Verify proper specimens and perform tests that need to be completed.
  • •Analyze clinical laboratory specimens using standard methods and procedures efficiently with little to no errors.
  • •Maintain updated lab knowledge of methods performed, follow GLP, and keep the workspace clean and organized.
  • •Recognize and escalate equipment malfunctions, troubleshoot common errors, and document/escalate protocol deviations to the lead/supervisor.

Key Requirements

  • •1-2 years of experience as a Medical Technologist or equivalent in a clinical laboratory environment.
  • •BS/BA degree (or equivalent) in Medical Technology, Biological Sciences, or a related field.
  • •Current California CLS (Clinical Laboratory Science - Generalist) license or CGMBS (Clinical Genetics Molecular Biology Scientist) license.
  • •Experience in Molecular Biology.
  • •Excellent interpersonal, communication, computer, troubleshooting, and pipetting skills.
