Job Summary

Perform concrete testing and monitor the quality of ready-mixed concrete, following ASTM standards and established lab procedures. Maintain test results and statistical data, cast and test concrete specimens, and ensure compliance with specifications through reports and analysis. Coordinate with the operations team, support mix design adjustments, and provide customer-facing technical assistance related to concrete delivery and corrective actions.

Key Responsibilities

•Follow safety rules and promptly report unsafe practices or conditions.
•Work with the operations team to support quality control operations in line with policies and applicable regulations.
•Perform required ASTM concrete tests (e.g., slump, air, unit weight, temperature, yield) and maintain test results and statistical data.
•Cast concrete specimens, perform hardened concrete testing, and input results into quality control software.
•Conduct aggregate sieve analysis, draft reports for compliance, maintain equipment calibration, and coordinate mix design adjustments; provide customer technical assistance.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or GED, with 1–2 years related experience and/or training (or an equivalent combination).
•ACI Field Testing Technician Level I certification and NDOT/IDOT/PCC technician certifications preferred, with requirement to obtain certifications within 12 months.
•Experience in the building materials/construction industry preferred.
•Be at least 18 years old and pass pre-employment drug screen and a criminal/motor vehicle background check.
•Maintain a valid driver’s license and comply with safety procedures.
