Key Responsibilities

  • •Work with business units to identify, quantify, and manage commodity risks using forward transactions and other methodologies.
  • •Execute risk management strategies for prepared foods, pork belly, freezer programs, butter and milk, and hedge programs (including hedges, settlements, and reconciling positions).
  • •Coordinate compliance of risk parameters with the treasury group and manage currency transactions and FX activity across programs.
  • •Ensure timing of hedge liquidations, prepare monthly risk management materials, support committee meetings, and provide reporting including closed results and MTM situations.
  • •Provide market commentary and trade recommendations in business unit, weekly, and daily settings; maintain and update protein supply and demand fundamental decks.
