Job Summary

Join Reddit’s Ads Optimization and Ads Marketplace Quality teams to design and implement end-to-end ML systems for auctions, bidding, pacing, and ad quality. You’ll build optimization models, translate product goals into measurable metrics, and collaborate with Product, DS, and Infra to improve advertiser performance and user experience at internet scale.

Key Responsibilities

•Design and implement models and policies for bids and pacing, computing bids for different objectives and allocating spend across segments and time zones.
•Own systems end-to-end from problem formulation to experimentation, production deployment, and ongoing iteration.
•Collaborate across Ads Optimization and Ads Marketplace Quality to deliver measurable wins for advertisers and Redditors.
•Translate product and marketplace goals into optimization problems and constraints (ROI, revenue, delivery smoothness, fairness, user experience).

Key Requirements

•3–5+ years of experience building, deploying, and operating machine learning systems in production (for IC4, typically 5+ years).
•Strong programming skills in Python, Java, Go, or similar languages, with solid software engineering fundamentals.
•Experience designing scalable data processing systems (e.g., Spark, Kafka, Airflow, BigQuery, Redis).
•Demonstrated ability to translate ambiguous product or business problems into solutions and to improve measurable metrics.
•Ability to work across Ads Optimization and Ads Marketplace Quality to deliver measurable wins.
