Job Summary

As an SRE Operations Engineer, you will ensure smooth operation of Okta's Customer Identity Cloud, monitor platform health, triage requests, run capacity and scalability testing, and collaborate with the SRE team to drive reliability and incident prevention.

Key Responsibilities

•Execute runbooks and update processes as required
•Interface with the SRE team to report core issues, required improvements and new feature requests
•Monitors Platform health and take steps to alleviate issues related to deployment and operations
•Executes operational work including updating/patching and maintaining the Engineering Service Desk queue
•Responsible for ensuring team requests are triaged and/or actioned in a timely manner

Key Requirements

•1+ years in a Cloud Operations role
•1+ years in a production environment supporting large-scale, mission-critical applications
•Interest and/or understanding of programming (e.g., golang, shell scripting)
•General platform infrastructure knowledge (high availability/load balancing, routers, firewalls, storage)
•Familiarity with HTTP, SSL, SSH, Kubernetes
