Key Responsibilities

•Provide sustained teaching leadership, including development and leadership of major teaching programmes and enhancement of the student experience/employability.
•Lead curriculum design at module and programme level to ensure it is inclusive, engaging, and academically challenging, including student engagement in curriculum design.
•Contribute to education policy debates through internal and external publications, conference activity, and external examining/quality assurance.
•Represent the School/Department on committees and provide departmental/school leadership and management, including developing staff/resources for major teaching activities.
•Undertake clinical service as part of an honorary contract, including developing orthodontics clinical skills and outpatient personal treatment sessions.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: GBP 109,725 - 145,478 annually

Key Requirements

•Must be a Dentist with completed specialist training, fully registered, with a licence to practise with the GDC, and participating in clinical appraisal and revalidation.
•Demonstrated competence in learning and teaching, and in management and administration.
•Teaching experience within the subject specialism.
•Normally, a higher degree relevant to the discipline area (usually PhD) or equivalent qualifications.
•Demonstrated achievement in learning/teaching and in management/administration-related activities (e.g., exams officer and leadership).

Education:PhD / Doctorate in Orthodontics (discipline area)

Licenses:GDC licence to practise
