Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage assigned caseload of complex property claims, evaluating coverage, liability exposure, and settlement outcomes.
  • •Investigate claim damages using information from insured, third parties, and external resources; identify discrepancies and subrogation potential.
  • •Review prior loss history, determine and create SIU referrals when appropriate, and analyze complex policy terms and contingencies to determine coverage.
  • •Determine and negotiate complex claim settlements within authority limits and make recommendations for settlements outside authority limits.
  • •Maintain accurate claim file documentation and use estimating/virtual inspection tools; support catastrophe (CAT) response and may travel for inspections.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or GED required.
  • •2+ years of property claims adjusting experience handling moderate complexity losses, including writing estimates for dwelling and structural damages.
  • •Advanced knowledge of estimating losses using Xactimate or similar tools and platforms.
  • •Proficient knowledge of residential construction and property claims contracts, including interpretation of case law and state laws/regulations.
  • •Ability to travel 50-75% of the year and acquire and maintain an insurance adjuster license within 90 days and 3 attempts.
