Key Responsibilities

  • •Partner directly with engineering, product, data, and design teams to provide practical legal guidance across legal domains for product development and go-to-market strategy
  • •Advise on data governance, including privacy, data use, information security, retention and deletion, and cross-border data flows
  • •Build and mature Faire’s data governance program by designing frameworks, processes, and implementation improvements
  • •Track developments in global privacy laws and translate them into actionable guidance
  • •Draft and maintain privacy policies, notices, standards, playbooks, and training to scale good decision-making

Key Requirements

  • •Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and an active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
  • •5+ years of legal experience (law firm and/or in-house), including substantive privacy work
  • •Deep expertise in global privacy law, including EU and UK GDPR and CCPA (and other state laws)
  • •Experience counseling advertising product teams and/or online marketplaces (plus)
  • •Excellent communication skills to provide risk-calibrated, solution-focused advice to product and engineering teams
