Key Responsibilities

  • •Autonomously perform complex durability and damage tolerance analyses to verify structural integrity requirements.
  • •Document analyses supporting trade studies or airframe detail drawing sign-off.
  • •Liaise with Design, Static Stress, and other Airbus departments to develop optimum structural solutions.
  • •Accept broad objectives, establish tasks and timelines, and work independently to meet agreed deadlines.
  • •Mentor less experienced structural analysts and lead preparation of complex technical/business presentation packages.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor of Science (BS) in Engineering (Aero, Civil, or Mechanical) with strong structural design and analysis/mechanics of materials coursework.
  • •7+ years of experience in Static Stress and F&DT analysis with airframe structures.
  • •In-depth knowledge of classical and numerical (Finite Element) stress analysis methods.
  • •Strong computer background, including MS Excel and Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Gmail).
  • •Experience with airframe design (metallic and composites) and relevant certification/analysis tools such as CATIA, NASTRAN, and PATRAN is desired.
