Build and run storage-focused SRE systems that keep Crusoe’s AI-optimized cloud infrastructure highly available and scalable. Design automation and self-healing to monitor block, file, and object storage, drive reliability initiatives (replication, backup/restore, failover), and troubleshoot storage incidents using telemetry and performance profiling. Collaborate across storage, hardware, and kernel teams to optimize I/O paths, cache policies, and file systems, while supporting containerized workloads and Kubernetes-based services.

Key Responsibilities

•Build automation and self-healing tools to monitor and maintain distributed cloud storage infrastructure (block, file, object).
•Drive reliability initiatives including data replication, encryption, backup and restore, and robust failover mechanisms.
•Support high-performance NVMe- and SSD-backed volumes for large-scale AI compute clusters and optimize availability and performance tuning against error budgets.
•Investigate and resolve storage-related incidents using telemetry, logs, and performance profiling; diagnose low-level I/O issues with hardware and kernel teams.
•Contribute to the architecture of fault-tolerant, scalable storage backends tailored for AI-first cloud environments.

Pay and Benefits

Key Requirements

•Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
•5+ years of professional experience in Storage SRE, systems, or storage engineering.
•Deep hands-on experience with enterprise storage platforms such as Pure Storage or EMC, including how systems are architected and operated.
•Deep understanding of object, block, and file storage paradigms.
•Proficiency in Go, Python, Java, or C, with Infrastructure as Code/deployment tooling such as Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet.
