Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage day-to-day activities of the local and/or regional project management team to deliver projects meeting corporate and client standards.
  • •Provide project management leadership and oversight for substation and/or transmission line projects across the Texas–Louisiana Region, including detailed design oversight, budgets, forecasts, margins, KPIs, and risk contingencies.
  • •Serve as a project management subject matter expert and champion for corporate compliance with internal project management standards and QA/QC adherence.
  • •Lead recruiting and retention efforts by interviewing candidates and making recommendations; oversee employee reviews and provide guidance for internal transfers and new hires.
  • •Drive stakeholder engagement and deliver project lifecycle activities including reporting, kick-off meetings, problem/recovery reviews, and formal closeout and lessons learned documentation.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field in the Power & Energy market, or equivalent experience; PMP certification will be considered.
  • •15+ years of relevant post-education experience in a project management role within the Power Delivery/Utility industry.
  • •5+ years of experience providing engineering services for IOUs, IPPs, Co-Ops, Munis, etc.
  • •5+ years leading engineering and/or construction teams for medium to large electrical utility power delivery projects (medium/high/extra-high voltage).
  • •Knowledge of project management processes and tools including contract management, earned value management, change management, risk management, schedule management (CPM; Primavera P6 or equivalent), and financial management.
