Job Summary

Oversee the financial planning, analysis, and reporting for a plant-manufacturing unit within Tyson’s Prepared Foods business. Manage cost accounting and variance accuracy, supervise plant performance and inventory reporting, and lead forecasting, budgeting, and annual/long-range plans. Partner with plant operations to support continuous improvement, cost reduction, and LEAN/Safety initiatives, while developing controls to ensure SOX compliance and coordinating audits.

Key Responsibilities

•Direct cost accounting and financial analysis systems, ensuring accurate product, production, and manufacturing variance reporting.
•Oversee financial reporting and forecasting, supervising reporting and analysis of plant performance, production reporting, and inventory.
•Manage plant accounting staff and administer payroll and internal controls.
•Lead budgeting and performance planning, including the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Long Range Plan (LRP), and prepare weekly forecast updates.
•Develop SOX compliance key controls and coordinate audits to support state and federal compliance requirements.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
•6+ years of accounting management experience, ideally in a manufacturing environment with standard cost and variance reporting.
•Strong knowledge of GAAP, cost accounting, fixed assets, general ledger accounting, payroll, and SOX.
•Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
•Strong PC skills with SAP plus Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
