Job Summary

Lead architectural design delivery for complex, national-significance building programmes, initially on a major project. Manage a dynamic design team, coordinate with client and contractor stakeholders, and ensure objectives and outcomes are communicated and tracked. Work across a portfolio spanning commercial offices, data centres, transportation, pharmaceutical and logistics. Based in Scotland, you’ll report to the Regional Director for Scotland and a client line manager.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead a dynamic design team through successful project delivery as an Architect Design Manager.
•Assist client and contractor teams in delivering a complex build programme of national significance.
•Direct, coordinate, collaborate, and manage design and technical delivery within a wider WSP consultant team.
•Apply architectural design processes to simplify complex design and logistical challenges.
•Ensure outcomes and objectives are clearly managed and communicated, reporting to the Regional Director for Scotland and a client line manager.

Key Requirements

•Be a qualified Architect with experience post Chartership.
•Have design manager and architectural major project experience.
•Have a working knowledge of Revit and BIM360 for design delivery.
•Demonstrate agile thinking, focused direction, motivation, and measurable outcomes.
•Be willing to travel on occasion and be able to obtain UK vetting level of Security Check (SC).
