Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead the mechanical architecture, design, development, and validation of complex networking products and rack-level solutions.
  • •Drive technical decision-making and system-level trade-offs across mechanical, thermal, electrical, manufacturing, cost, and reliability.
  • •Run design reviews and provide technical direction across multiple development programs, establishing standards and best practices.
  • •Own mechanical design throughout the lifecycle from concept through detailed design, prototyping, verification, and mass-production support, including drawings, 3D models, specifications, tolerance stack-ups, and BOMs.
  • •Enable design for manufacturing/assembly/serviceability, collaborate with suppliers on tooling and qualification, and support factory builds by resolving production issues.

Key Requirements

  • •Advanced CAD proficiency with AutoCAD, Creo, and SolidWorks.
  • •Mechanical design expertise across sheet metal, plastic injection molding, die casting, extrusions, and machined components.
  • •Experience with tolerance analysis and GD&T, plus FEA/simulation for reliability and environmental testing.
  • •Networking/datacenter design experience, including L10 products (enterprise ethernet/data center switches) and L11 rack-level integration with EIA, OCP ORV3, and MGX platforms.
  • •Knowledge of thermal management/airflow optimization, liquid cooling, and EMI/EMC compliance, with strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration.
