Job Summary

Operate and monitor geophysical survey equipment from a mobile data acquisition unit to support exploration and mining activities. You’ll rig up/down equipment over boreholes, monitor real-time incoming data, perform QC checks, and ensure accurate subsurface data collection and reporting. Coordinate with field crews, troubleshoot equipment issues, and support setup, calibration, maintenance, and transportation of geophysical tools, while following safety and environmental site procedures.

Key Responsibilities

•Operate geophysical data acquisition systems from the logging van/mobile unit.
•Safely rig up and rig down geophysical equipment over boreholes and wells.
•Monitor survey data in real time, identify data quality issues, and perform QC checks to ensure data integrity.
•Communicate with field crews to coordinate survey activities and track progress.
•Maintain accurate logs, reports, and digital records; assist with troubleshooting and, as experience permits, data processing and basic interpretation.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or GED required.
•Mechanical and technical aptitude to learn and operate geophysical equipment and software.
•Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail for accurate data.
•Ability to work extended hours in field environments as operational needs require.
•1 to 3 years of experience in geophysical surveying, mining, exploration, construction, surveying, or other field-based operations. (Preferred: experience operating a geophysical logging van/mobile equipment.)
