Key Responsibilities

  • •Work closely with organizational safety teams, HQ operations manager and team leaders in implementing internal safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with the best practices in the nuclear industry.
  • •Provide guidance and expert advice to leadership teams on all emergency response related policies, practices, procedures, and legislation.
  • •Perform and review risk assessments covering all ENEC sites to minimize impacts of emergencies and emergency response activities.
  • •Participate in the investigation of accidents and injuries and cooperate in the preparation of material evidence for the organization to use when making recommendations to prevent recurrence.
  • •Direct the implementation of strategies to effectively resolve problems with emergency management and emergency response activities.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree in engineering, fire science, or safety related field
  • •5 years relevant experience with at least 3 years within an industrial organization, with exposure to power plants, oil and gas, and utilities
  • •Understanding of international and local safety standards
  • •3 years’ experience in a Safety specialist role or equivalent
  • •OSHAD rating: Level B; internationally recognized safety-related certifications
