Job Summary

Serve as a second-line networking managed services engineer, ensuring client IT infrastructure remains operational. You’ll monitor queues, review tickets and client requests, investigate and resolve medium-complexity incidents, and restore services within SLAs. Collaborate with clients and internal teams during shift handovers, escalate appropriately to Centers of Excellence, support change management and maintenance, and contribute to automation, trend analysis, and (when needed) disaster recovery.

Key Responsibilities

•Proactively monitor systems and work queues, identify issues before escalation, and investigate incidents/problems.
•Review client requests and tickets, resolve incidents and requests of medium complexity, and update tickets with actions taken.
•Provide second-line support and coordinate with clients and internal teams to restore services within SLAs.
•Handle shift handover by highlighting key tickets and upcoming critical tasks, and escalate tickets when needed.
•Contribute to automation, change management (log change requests, perform approved maintenance, audit tickets), and support disaster recovery as needed.

Key Requirements

•Proficiency with networking/security technologies including Pulse Secure SSL VPN, Palo Alto, Fortinet, and Cisco Nexus switches/routers/firewalls, plus familiarity with ticketing tools.
•At least one technical certification in the technologies above.
•Strong planning skills to anticipate and adapt to changing circumstances.
•Ability to communicate and work effectively across different cultures and social groups.
•A bachelor’s degree in IT/Computing (or equivalent qualification/work experience).
