Key Responsibilities

  • •Prepare cost estimates to an appropriate level of detail based on available design information.
  • •Analyze documents, drawings, and project plans to identify factors influencing project cost.
  • •Evaluate estimates continuously to determine risks and opportunities affecting budget and completion.
  • •Review and finalize unit cost pricing, historical benchmark variances, and take offs.
  • •Communicate findings and coordinate with stakeholders while training junior and intermediate estimators and supporting estimate-change reporting.

Key Requirements

  • •10+ years’ experience in cost management and estimation.
  • •5+ years conducting cost management and estimation on active civil, rail/transit, airport, or commercial construction projects.
  • •Knowledge of contracting methods including Design/Bid/Build, Design Build, Construction Management At Risk, and Guarantee Maximum Price.
  • •Experience using estimating software such as Candy, CostX, or similar.
  • •Working knowledge of the NEC form of Contract.
