Job Summary

Lead mechanical design execution for new videoconferencing products within the HP Hybrid Solutions (Poly Video) team, working across outsourced development partners and a global engineering group. Own mechanical and thermal development across design, validation, tooling, and testing, ensure compliance with engineering guidelines, and drive data-driven resolution of complex vendor issues. Guide and mentor engineers while integrating new mechanical technologies to deliver mass-produced hardware.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead multiple project teams of mechanical hardware engineers at outsourced development partners across design, validation, tooling, and testing.
•Manage relationships with internal and outsourced partners for mechanical design across global locations, including vendor teams.
•Ensure mechanical engineering aspects of product development including thermal management, FAI, DFM, and CMF.
•Review and evaluate mechanical designs for compliance with development guidelines and standards, providing feedback to improve quality.
•Provide mechanical hardware leadership, drive innovation with new technologies, and mentor less-experienced staff.

Key Requirements

•8+ years of experience developing mass-produced electronic equipment, especially for video/camera products.
•Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering field.
•Significant experience with Creo Parametric, Siemens NX, or other 3D CAD tools.
•Experience with mechanical and thermal architecture for electronics packaging design.
•Ability to run CFD analysis and thermal mockups to validate thermal solutions.
