Job Summary

Lead the architecture and technical direction for SoFi’s next-generation AI-powered SDLC within the Builder Tools engineering organization. Build AI-enabled workflows, tools, and agents that improve developer experience across planning, coding, testing, build, deploy, observe, and remediation. Drive innovation in developer productivity through AI-assisted tooling, mentor engineers, and influence adoption of best practices through delivery and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

•Provide thought leadership for AI-enabled tools, agents, and workflows across the SDLC, covering plan through remediation.
•Collaborate with cross-functional teams to innovate developer tooling and AI-assisted developer productivity workflows.
•Own and act as a subject matter expert for one or more developer tooling domains, including operational excellence.
•Mentor engineers and enhance the team’s overall technical capabilities through domain expertise.
•Influence and scale adoption of AI-powered SDLC tooling, workflows, and best practices across the engineering organization.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 172,800 - 297,000 annually

Key Requirements

•8+ years of software development experience.
•Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
•Experience developing in a cloud environment (e.g., AWS) with containers (Docker, Kubernetes), cloud-native technologies, service meshes (Istio, Envoy), CI/CD, and automated testing.
•2+ years of experience building AI tools (e.g., Claude Code, Agent SDK, prompts) and infrastructure/agent frameworks (MCP, AWS Bedrock, RAGs, vector databases, Langchain/Langgraph/CrewAI).
•Strong understanding of software design principles and distributed systems architecture, with solid problem-solving and programming fundamentals.
