Job Summary

Support the Class Teacher by working with individual children and small groups to help them access the curriculum in an engaging, inclusive learning environment. Enable learning in the classroom, adapt approaches as needed, and maintain learning evidence including IEP notes and feedback for assessments. Support students’ wellbeing, assist with minor admin tasks during non-contact time, and supervise during breaks and school trips.

Job Function: Administration & Executive Assistance

Key Responsibilities

•Work with individual or small groups of children as directed by the Class Teacher and subject teachers.
•Support learning in the classroom so children can access the curriculum.
•Be proactive with learning and adjust strategy/approach with the Class Teacher to facilitate learning.
•Support recording and presenting evidence of learning, including notes in Individual Education Plan (IEP) books, and provide feedback to the Class Teacher for assessments and IEPs.
•Support children’s wellbeing, including supervising during breaks and accompanying children on school trips where appropriate.

Key Requirements

•Minimum high school education in English and Maths (degree preferred).
•Experience or aptitude working with students; previous teaching or teaching assistant experience preferred.
•Professional proficiency in written and spoken English.
•Enthusiasm and aptitude for working with students; good team player.
•Ability to use own initiative.
