Key Responsibilities

  • •Machine complex prototype and low-volume production components using CNC mills, lathes, and multi-axis machining centers.
  • •Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and GD&T to determine machining strategies, tooling, workholding, and parameters.
  • •Set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC equipment with minimal supervision, editing and optimizing CNC programs and toolpaths as needed.
  • •Perform first-article and in-process inspections using precision measurement equipment, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
  • •Document processes and results, support process development/fixture design experiments, and maintain a safe, organized machine shop environment.

Key Requirements

  • •4+ years of CNC machining experience, including setup and operation of multi-axis milling and turning equipment.
  • •Ability to machine prototype, R&D, or low-volume precision components in a fast-paced environment.
  • •Strong proficiency reading engineering drawings, CAD models, and GD&T specifications, with experience in 3-axis and 5-axis CNC machining centers.
  • •Ability to edit and troubleshoot G-code programs and apply feeds/speeds/tooling fundamentals.
  • •Demonstrated troubleshooting and independent problem-solving skills, with experience using precision inspection equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers, height gauges, CMMs).
