Key Responsibilities

  • •Contribute to lighting design for highways, industrial facilities, decorative lighting projects, sports facilities, car parks, and amenity areas.
  • •Undertake site surveys/desktop studies, including pre-design infrastructure review and lighting/environmental impact assessments.
  • •Provide lighting design and ensure all designs/drawings are checked to required standards and quality.
  • •Coordinate with multi-disciplinary design teams and direct CAD technicians on requirements and timelines.
  • •Manage delivery against scope and deadlines, provide status updates on progress/risks/issues, and contribute to meetings and business development activities.
Travel: Medium travel

Key Requirements

  • •At least BEng in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Electronics and Telecom Engineering with 3-6 years of relevant experience.
  • •Experience in lighting design to relevant British and EU standards, with sound knowledge of British standards and manuals.
  • •Good computer skills using lighting/electrical design tools such as Lighting Reality, Dialux, AutoCAD, and Amtech.
  • •Experience in consultancy or development work, including checking own work before submission and meeting agreed timescales.
  • •Completion/part completion of the ILP Lighting Exterior Lighting Diploma or equivalent, plus understanding of relevant standards, legislation, and Health & Safety.
