Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead the Air Permitting and Chemical Management Environmental Engineering teams, providing technical leadership, coaching, mentoring, and professional development.
  • •Design, carry out, and maintain environmental compliance programs to meet federal, state, and local regulatory requirements and support site sustainability initiatives.
  • •Evaluate facility modifications, manufacturing processes, chemicals, and operational changes to determine regulatory applicability and maintain permits, procedures, and compliance documentation.
  • •Prepare, review, and submit environmental permit applications, regulatory reports, and environmental impact assessments; represent Micron during inspections, agency interactions, audits, and compliance reviews.
  • •Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance, address corrective actions and environmental concerns, participate in on-call duties, and improve efficiency using AI tools like Microsoft Copilot.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, or a closely related technical field.
  • •Over 5 years of environmental compliance experience in manufacturing/industrial/engineering settings, including experience guiding engineers, programs, projects, or multi-functional efforts.
  • •Proven experience with environmental permitting, regulatory reporting, inspections, compliance audits, and environmental management systems.
  • •Confirmed knowledge of the Clean Air Act (CAA), RCRA, CERCLA, Clean Water Act (CWA) including NPDES, MSGP, CGP, SPCC, and ISO 14001.
  • •Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, interpersonal, leadership, and decision-making skills to influence collaborators across the company.
