Key Responsibilities

  • •Report to the hospital administrator and lead fire safety and general safety issue identification, evaluation, and correction.
  • •Head the security department by monitoring and instructing security staff to ensure safe conditions for patients, staff, visitors, and vendors.
  • •Maintain liaison with the Maintenance department to ensure fire detection and fire fighting systems function and are maintained per procedures.
  • •Provide regular training to staff on fire-fighting equipment and assess staff knowledge; instruct and assess actions for fire incidents and injuries.
  • •Serve as secretary of the Facility Management & Safety Committee, support safety manual and policies, keep meeting records, recommend improvements, and report on safety programs including hazard surveillance and incident reporting.

Key Requirements

  • •Educational diploma in Safety Engineering.
  • •NEBOSH qualified; IOSH and OSHA qualified.
  • •At least two years of experience in a public safety occupation.
  • •Excellent command of oral and written English; knowledge of Arabic is desirable.
  • •Ability to plan and deliver safety/fire prevention programs, respond properly during emergencies, and work independently.
