Job Summary

Assist in the design and project management of road schemes and active travel projects in the Ireland Roads team, leading design delivery from inception through to handover, coordinating multi-disciplinary inputs, liaising with clients, and developing staff while ensuring safety and quality standards on national transport projects.

Job Function: Administration & Executive Assistance

Key Responsibilities

•Manage projects to ensure coordination and compatibility of multi-disciplinary inputs on varying scales, complexity and value.
•Liaise with clients, develop trusted relationships, proactively manage expectations and advise them.
•Undertake project technical lead and reviewer roles.
•Develop staff through technical guidance and mentoring.
•Prepare fee proposals and manage budgets for individual projects.

Key Requirements

•Post-qualification experience in the design and project management of road schemes and active travel schemes
•Chartered engineer in a relevant engineering institution
•Experience or knowledge of alignment and drainage design software such as Civil3D/Open Roads and WinDes (preferred)
•Strong communication, client management and interpersonal skills
•Excellent IT skills including MS Projects; understanding of current design standards (DMURS, Cycle Design Manual, DMURS, TII/NTA guidelines) and Highway Geometric Design
