Key Responsibilities

  • •Partner with PMs and engineers to build backend support for cloud database service products.
  • •Design and develop core database system functionalities and related tools.
  • •Conduct performance and scalability tests and research ideas for improvement.
  • •Design and implement unit, functional, and system tests to ensure product quality.
  • •Debug issues, perform root cause analysis, and participate in release/deployment and on-call rotation.

Key Requirements

  • •Experience with query processing (execution and query optimization), transaction management, storage management, and backup/restore.
  • •Experience building a large-scale, high-performance database platform.
  • •Experience with storage systems and distributed systems.
  • •Strong C/C++, Go, or Java programming skills.
  • •Knowledge of Linux shell and scripting languages such as Python.
