Job Summary

Serve as the regional risk owner for TikTok Shop, building and monitoring processes that detect and prevent fraudulent activity across transactions, KYC, onboarding, and seller-creator affiliation. Lead investigations and incident management for suspicious behavior, set data-driven risk thresholds and rules, and mitigate emerging fraud threats. Partner with business, product, data, security/risk, Legal, and regulators, and translate fraud and model performance insights into strategy. Optimize AI risk workflows and potentially build AI agents for scalable defenses.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead investigations and analysis of suspicious behavior, fraudulent transactions, and abuse, managing incidents end-to-end until resolution.
•Own regional risk strategy by setting risk thresholds, calibrating rules, and launching new defense strategies aligned to business objectives.
•Monitor for emerging fraud threats, identify vulnerabilities, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to mitigate fraudulent activity before it scales.
•Collaborate with business, technology, product, data, and security/risk stakeholders; work with Legal, Public Affairs, and regulators on localized fraud/crime inquiries.
•Produce regular fraud reports on new trends, model performance, and business impact; optimize AI risk workflows and potentially build AI agents to automate investigative tasks and scale detection.

•4+ years of professional experience in operations and investigations or risk strategy related to fraud, abuse, or cybercrime.
•Proficiency in SQL to extract actionable insights from complex datasets.
•Ability to act as a regional owner and make high-stakes decisions on risk thresholds and strategy launches.
•Interpret machine learning model performance metrics (e.g., precision, recall, data drift) and translate them into operational adjustments.
•Ability to understand opposing viewpoints and gather information from various online sources and community groups.
