Key Responsibilities

  • •Prepare accurate, detailed cost estimates for construction projects by analyzing specifications, materials, labor, and other factors to set budgets.
  • •Manage project budgets by monitoring costs, tracking expenditures, identifying variances, and keeping projects within budget constraints.
  • •Support tendering by preparing tender documents, analyzing bids, and negotiating contracts with subcontractors and suppliers to secure best value.
  • •Administer construction contracts by reviewing contract terms, processing change orders, and supporting resolution of contractual disputes.
  • •Perform quantity takeoffs from architectural and engineering drawings and implement cost control measures, including value engineering and risk mitigation; support HSE initiatives and provide cost/progress reports.

Key Requirements

  • •Minimum 5 years working experience, including 3 years relevant quantity surveying experience (GCC experience is a plus).
  • •Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying, or a Diploma in Engineering / related technical certificates.
  • •Knowledge of computer-based quantification systems such as CCS (Candy).
  • •Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and optimal use of AutoCAD for quantity takeoffs.
  • •Knowledge of Bill of Quantities methods and measurement principles (including International 1979, NRM2, CESSMMIII, QSSM, QCS, FIDIC).
