•Drive the strategic direction and roadmap for Akamai Compute’s customer-facing APIs and internal backend orchestration and support services.
•Lead the architectural shift toward container orchestration and modular designs to enable horizontal scalability and granular ownership.
•Establish software-lifecycle auditing mechanisms to improve reliability, observability, and security.
•Partner with Product Management, SRE, Engineering leaders, SDET, and product teams to define requirements and integrate new features.
•Foster an inclusive, growth-oriented culture and mentor Senior and Principal engineers to promote technical leadership and knowledge sharing.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 173,900 - 313,100 annually

•Track record driving large-scale migrations (e.g., moving to containerized orchestration or modularizing legacy systems).
•Experience ensuring security, performance, and reliability in mission-critical environments (e.g., container scanning, DR planning).
