Job Function: QA, Test & Release Engineering

Key Responsibilities

  • •Drive weekly releases from branch cut through full production rollout, managing phased deployments across rc, preview, general, and cautious tracks using Terraform and internal tooling.
  • •Deploy configuration changes to a global fleet of clusters, resolve Terraform drift, and keep each cluster within maintenance and certificate windows.
  • •Run the weekly rotation: triage the Linear queue daily, route issues to the right team, investigate customer-reported cluster problems, and facilitate the weekly Production Ops meeting.
  • •Maintain CI health by keeping the master branch green across EngFlow-managed repositories, hunting flaky tests and documenting fixes or gaps.
  • •Coordinate during incidents, deploy hotfixes and configuration changes within agreed maintenance windows, and improve runbooks and handover processes to reduce toil.

Key Requirements

  • •Own production deployments for a distributed or cloud-hosted service, spotting and preventing bad rollouts early.
  • •Hands-on Terraform experience in AWS and GCP, including reading plans, detecting drift, and choosing apply vs. revert.
  • •Ability to read build systems such as Bazel, Gradle, Maven, or CMake and understand build failures.
  • •Experience operating CI/CD systems: investigating failures, managing flaky tests, and distinguishing systemic vs. one-off issues.
  • •Comfort using Linux and shell for log analysis, scripting, and debugging production issues.
